Financial Aid
Attending Egremont School is a rewarding educational experience, and the school seeks to make this experience available to qualified students, regardless of their family's financial resources.
Egremont School recognizes the educational value of a school community that includes students from various economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Accordingly, our Financial Aid Program supports that vision and is non-discriminatory in practice.
Parents of entering Early Kindergarten through 5th grade students are encouraged to apply for assistance as necessary. Every family's situation is unique, and Egremont takes varying circumstances into consideration when reviewing financial aid assistance requests.
Tuition assistance awards are based upon the consideration of many different factors; foremost being the level of need, with other factors including, but not limited to, years associated with Egremont, student and parent involvement in school related activities, academic performance, and student citizenship. Families receiving tuition assistance are expected to be involved in the school and seek volunteer opportunities for the benefit of our school and community.
Financial aid may be awarded annually to assist with the payment of tuition and fees. Typically, each family is expected to make an appropriate contribution to tuition based upon ability. As long as a family continues to demonstrate a need and the student is in good academic/behavioral standing, Egremont will continue to attempt to meet the financial needs of the family for the duration of their attendance at Egremont.
The financial aid application process is separate from the admission's application, but both can be completed at the same time.
When applying for financial aid, Egremont uses confidential information provided directly to the Administration and/or generated through Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS), for evaluation. The Administration uses this information, combined with Egremont School's own financial aid policies, to determine the family's expected contribution.
Egremont School holds the distribution of any financial aid in the strictness of confidence and expects receiving families to do the same. Violations of confidential information may subject the recipient to loss of the awarded aid.
Egremont School is an equal opportunity environment and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national or ethnic origin, or by any other status protected by law.
