Curriculum Overview
Egremont prides itself in its ability to provide its students with a strong academic curriculum, interwoven with a wealth of additional opportunities for growth in the arts, technology, and physical education. Traditional disciplines begin at the early kindergarten level and continue through the fifth grade.
The language arts component incorporates reading selections from textbooks as well as novels, literature selections, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
In our math program, children learn concepts, computational skills, and problem solving techniques through a variety of approaches including manipulatives, textbooks, computer programs, real world applications, and daily exercises.
Community outreach and character develop are essential elements of the Egremont experience. Students engage in activities to promote the well-being of the community and partake in the Character Counts program to build self-confident and life-long skills necessary to shape their future.
Our curricular offerings allow students to gain fundamental essentials for future academic success.
Egremont assigns no more than 20 students per classroom in the Kindergarten - 5th grade levels. This commitment to small class/homeroom sizes reflects our pledge to individual student attention. We believe this consistency helps us in building confidence in our students.
